Joining Troop 5
To join Boy Scouts, a boy must either be 11, OR have finished Fifth Grade, OR have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award. He does not need to have been in Cub Scouts or a Webelos Scout.

Youth interested in joining Troop 5 are encouraged to browse our web-site, particulary our About Troop 5 and Photos pages. View our current and past Troop Calendars (2010/2011, 2009/2010, 2008/2009) to see the many outings our Scouts have enjoyed.

Before joining we ask that prospective scouts and their parents visit at least two regular troop meetings and meet with an Assistant Scoutmaster. This gives the youth and parents a chance to make sure that Boy Scouts and Troop 5 is for them.

Dues are $85 per year. This fee covers BSA membership fees, a subscription to Boys Life, advancement patches and badges, as well as adult and youth leadership training.
